The Drumheller RCMP have released some numbers from their Crime Reduction Strategy.

The numbers taken from April 1 to December 15 (2014 and 2015), show a decrease in residential break and enters, and theft from motor vehicles.
However, there was an increase in mischief.
"I could only speculate that in the beginning of the year when people were gainfully employed, there's fewer people looking for opportunities to commit property crime, it's really hard to say," said Drumheller RCMP Staff Sergeant Grant MacDonald.
There were 24 residential break and enters recorded in 2014, down to 19 in 2015. Theft from motor vehicles also saw a drop from 34 to 32.
The increase in mischief charges was small, going from 163 in 2014, to 165 in 2015.
