After a few months of hard work, Munchie Park in downtown Drumheller has gone from an eyesore to eye-catching.
The park fell into the hands of the Town of Drumheller, who worked with a team to spruce it up.
Crews were made up of volunteers from the town, and minimum security offenders from the Drumheller Penitentiary.
"We started about the first part of May," crew supervisor Kerry McLellan told 99.5 Drum FM.
He added that after the crews made some headway on the project, more volunteers kept showing up.
"We've pulled about four dumpsters of weeds and overgrowth out of here," McLellen explained.
The park on the corner of 3 Ave. and 2 St. SW is getting rave reviews.
"It should be a focal point really, because everybody that comes through town sees it."
